GARDENER’S Toolbox Series Winter 2017

Would you like your lawn to be the envy of the neighborhood? Come to class and learn what it takes to wear the green mask of the Lawn Ranger.
 

How to Register: 

· Go to http://hardin.ca.uky.edu/content/line-class-registration to sign up for any class.  Then mail in your payment.

· Or call (270) 765-4121 and talk to the receptionist.  Then mail in your payment.

You will be registered on a first pay, first registered basis.  All classes have a maximum number of participants. 

Payment for each of the Gardener’s Toolbox classes are required to be enrolled TWO WEEKS prior to the class date. You will be registered on a first pay, first registered basis.

Cancellations will be fully refunded TWO WEEKS prior to the class date. Please let us know as early as possible if you have to cancel, we probably have others on a wait list.

2017 Kentucky State Gospel Singing Convention

2017 KENTUCKY STATE GOSPEL SINGING CONVENTION
 
PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT
 
Come hear some of the finest gospel groups from Kentucky, TN, and
ILL at the 2017 KY State Gospel Singing Convention, held Friday, Oct
20th, and Saturday, Oct 21st. The Friday night concert starts at 6 and
Saturday night at 5:30. The Cave City Convention Center is located
off Exit 53 on I-65 at 502 Mammoth Cave Street in Cave City. This
72-year anniversary will feature 26 different duets, trios, and quartets
with styles of music that will vary from Southern, Country, and
Bluegrass Gospel. Admission is free and concessions will be
available. Come hear God’s word proclaimed in song at the KY State
Gospel Singing Convention, Cave City Convention Center, Oct 20th at
6 PM and Oct 21st at 5:30 PM, CDT. Again, the Cave City Convention
Center is located off exit 53 on I-65 at 502 Mammoth Cave Street in
Cave City, KY.

Love cross stitch and want to finish your project surrounded by others who love cross stitch too? Then this is the group for you!

Don’t know anything about cross stitch but want to learn ? Then this group is for you too!

Next meeting is: October 21 – 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Come when you can and leave when you need to . Bring a project or just bring supplies to get started and someone will help you.

How To Finish Your Quilt [Demo/Lecture]

Binding - Facing.  Add a flange?  What about a cording? There are various techniques you can use for finishing your quilts.  Join Patty Pruitt for a lecture/demo on what these are    and how to do them.  During this class we will look at finishes, pros and cons to each and just how to make them work for you. No supplies are required for this class.  Just come and join the fun and get a few new ideas!

Class size is limited.

Trunk or Treat

Big Cat 105.5 and Hardin County Emergency Medical Services have teamed up again for Trunk-Or-Treat presented by Scotty's Contracting and Stone, LLC!  It's gonna be on Saturday, October 28th from 5p-8p at the Hardin County EMS headquarters off Patriot Parkway.  There will be lots of candy and fun for the kids and the entire family.  Come dressed up in your costumes.  It's brought to you in part by: Navy Federal Credit Union, Totally Tan, Fairway Mortgage, United Real Estate, Eucabella Spa, Plumbers Supply, Larue County Farm Bureau, Holiday Inn, and Higdon Paint and Ladder. Veterans Day Ceremony

VETERANS DAY CEREMONY TO TAKE PLACE AT NATURE PARK
 
The 7th Annual Veterans Day Ceremony will take place at the Veterans Tribute located on Ring Road inside the Nature Park.
 
“We enjoy welcoming the community to celebrate our active duty and Military Veterans each year,” said Mayor Edna Berger. “We are blessed to have a beautiful park to memorialize their contributions.”
 
The 2017 ceremony is a coordinated effort between the City of Elizabethtown and American Legion Hardin Post 113.
 
“From one veteran to another, let me be the first to say thank you for your service to this great nation,” said John Saunders American Legion Commander Hardin Post 113. “We want to welcome all to attend and we will have free lunch provided for attendees at our Post following the ceremony.”
 
The event will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 11. Posting of the Colors will be held sharply at 11:00 a.m. to commemorate the signing of the Armistice (first Veterans Day) on November 11, 1918 at the end of World War I. The keynote speaker will be Brigadier General Robert W. Bennett, Fort Knox, KY.
