Christmas In The Park

With over 100 displays, Elizabethtown's Christmas in the Park is for everyone to enjoy again and again. An illuminated roadway will guide you through this beautiful spectacle of Christmas Spirit. Lights glimmering upon the lake will create that special Christmas Magic for you and your family. Christmas in the Park is open from 6:00pm to 11:00pm every evening. Admission is FREE, but donations are gladly accepted. 
There will also be Holiday Ice Skating this season on an artificial rink at Freeman Lake Park. Ice - Skating is $5 for adults (18+) and $3 for anyone 17 years and younger 

Nolin RECC - Students Free Trip

Applications now are being accepted for the Washington Youth Tour sponsored by Nolin RECC and the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association. All-Expense-Paid trip to Washington, DC., will be awarded to five high school juniors whose parents or guardians received electric service from Nolin RECC. Students will spend June 14-20 touring Gettysburg, The Smithsonian Institution, Arlington National Cemetery, the FBI Building, the National Zoo, Library of Congress, U.S. Capitol, the Kennedy Center, plus a visit with Kentucky's congressional delegation. 
"The five youth selected this year by Nolin will join more than 1,500 students and over 250 chaperones from cooperatives around the country" - Communications Manager Sarah Fellows said

Addressing Addiction

Today, many of our family and friends have found themselves thrust into a horrific situation, a result of drugs or other addictions. God commands us to reach to people wherever they are. First Baptist Church of Sonora is planning an event to do just that. 
The purpose of the "Addressing Addiction" event is to help participants become more knowledgeable on the topic of addiction. We will address some of the issues brought on by addiction, and several rehabilitation representatives will be present.
