Homeless Intervention Services

Homeless Intervention Services shelter is open now at 417 East Dixie Avenue, the old Dolly Madison store in E-town.
 
H.I.S reaches out to hurting and forgotten people, helping them to become part of the community again. 
 
The shelter is a clean and sober emergency shelter, accepting new residents between 9am and 5pm Monday-Saturday.
 
It's not a hand out, but a hand up...teaching basic life skills and assisting people in finding jobs. 
 
For more information on how you can donate or refer a resident to Homeless Intervention Services, stop by 417 East Dixie Avenue, Elizabethtown, Monday-Saturday from 9-7

The Kentucky Heartland Branch of the Quality Deer Management Association is holding their 8th annual banquet Sept. 29th at Arrowhead Archery in Hodgenville with food, door prizes, auctions and raffles of outdoor equipment. Funds help support QDMA's camp geared to train young adults with hunting skills and wildlife management.
